Last night I was reminded of the power of live theatre.
Theatre Downtown’s brilliant, moving, glorious production of Songs For A New World will have you laughing and crying and cheering! Steve MacKinnon and Spencer Crosswell have taken this little known musical and made it the most stirring theatrical experience of the season. If you want to be reminded of how theatre can take you on a journey… and have you walking out the door thinking of your own life and the choices that you have made, then you MUST get to Theatre Downtown and see this miracle of a show. All four actors are perfect. And the set and lighting design add a brilliant depth to the proceedings. This is the show to see this season, my friends. Watch it, let it wash over you, and bathe in the glory of live theatre once again!!
